Tom Sondergeld, MHA is the Owner and Managing Consultant for this consulting business, TS Consulting Group LLC. In this role Tom has been consulting with innovative startups, transparent PBMs, employer groups and large employers using his over 30 years of benefit leadership experience to help businesses improve offerings to members and users. Tom most recently served as a Senior Expert/Associate Partner with McKinsey & Company. Tom has consulted with employers, Health Plans/TPAs, PBMs, point solution providers, Private equity firms and start-ups.


With his over 30 years of leadership experience in the employee benefits space, Tom is a strong strategic advisor across all disciplines in the space. With deep PBM knowledge, Tom also provides guidance to many employers on contracting, RFP support, and vendor management. In a prior with Flipt (PBM), Tom led Customer Success as Vice President. His team supported all of Flipt's clients in a Start-Up environment prior to their close of operations in 2023. This was an awesome experience and helped to understand the complexities of PBMs and the other side of employer pharmacy management.
